Yesterday The Supreme Court concluded by majority that the language of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits sex discrimination, applies to workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. The question for the justices was whether that last prohibition — discrimination “because of sex”— applies to many millions of gay and transgender workers. Could there be a better PRIDE MONTH gift?
